Jamie Bloom's Biography

Being diagnosed with ADHD 5 years ago Jamie started a journey of reflection.
He realised he had suffered from this condition all his life. He understood why he couldn’t focus at school and left deflated, without academic success, despite having a love for history and story telling.
Jamie went to to have a successful career over many decades owning companies from fashion to entertainment including the famous Kensington Market, the iconic Rainbow Theatre rock venue, Cafe de Paris, Madam Jo Jo’s, hotels and more.
However a mainstay all his life was being a prolific reader, through nothing more than his love for the written word, escapism and a drive to complete his education outside the classroom. His love of reading, music and a life long commitment to teaching Tai Chi became an anchor.
His recent diagnosis of ADHD put his life into sharp focus. He understood his many rash decisions, struggles and life choices.
With this realisation his appreciation that life is fleeting and success is no more than an accumulation of experiences led him to look back on his life.
His first book, Change And Rage is an eclectic mix of these reflections. He hopes it will resonate with many.
Writing is not an exclusive arena…everyone has a story to tell.
He hopes you will enjoy Change And Rage..the contemplations, resilience and ups and downs of a life well lived.
